About the event
Mount Hood is a dormant stratovolcano in the Cascade Volcanic Arc in Oregon. It is the highest peak in Oregon at 11,249 feet (3,425 meters) tall. Mount Hood is located about 50 miles (80 kilometers) east of Portland, on the border between Clackamas and Hood River counties
